How much gain in real terms could I get from using standard 5mm Picasso wet suit versus
a smooth skin using the some energy and weighting. eg, dive to 32m (100ft) Could I gain 3-4m? in the smooth suit alone. Or would be actually a less than i think, 1m or less in real world vs thoery.? I've never dived in a smooth skin, to compare it too my standard suit. I'm interested in how much of an advantage there is. gav |

for one, smoothskin will not change Your buoyancy. The other thing is that You cannot directly calculate the energy savings in meters, because there are more factors to reaching a certain depth. - A comparison in DYN might be better. Does anyone have experience in this? I think that the forums on deeperblue would be the better place to ask this kind of stuff, simply because there is a far bigger audience there with more experience taken together.
